Surroundings of Bjorli

One is for sure you need a car to get around from here.
Bjorli is the perfect place for outdoor activities, both in summer and in winter. In the summer there’s several hiking options to choose between. There’s also biking opportunities. In the winter you can go cross-country skiing or enjoy the skilifts taking you to the top of the mountain. Here are also plenty of nice randonee-ski options. This has the latest years been one of the most populare tourist places in Norway. It has lot to offer when it comes to outdoor activities and beautiful nature. It is 35 min.drive from the cabine. You will find the Troll Wall. The Trollstigen is only open in the summer months and is a must to drive. It is also the road to Geiranger from the cabine. In the centre of Åndalsnes you can take the sky lift to the mountain top Nesaksla. Or you can walk to the top and pass Rampestreken. A fantastic view point! If you enjoy longer hikes, you should try Romsdalsegga. Also one of the most populare mountain hikes in Norway. Our personal favourite is SUP in Istra in the late summer.

This place is in the centre of Jotunheimen. From here it is not far to Galdhøpiggen or to Glittertind. A 2,5 hours drive from the cottage. You should definitely eat buns at the famous bakery when you are in Lom.

Snøhetta is the third highest mountain in Norway. It is in the national park Dovrefjell and is an hour drive from our cottage. It is a medium hard walk. Lovely view at the top. Children should be at least ten years old to do this hike. Snøhetta has a lot of rocky terrain so it might be a bit hard for smaller kids
