Wilton house is only 15 minutes away and has beautiful gardens for picnics and a great adventure playground. It also has a river which is fun for children to paddle in. Unfortunately you can’t take dogs. It has a lovely cafe for lunch and afternoon tea.
Check it is open as it is closed in the winter months and is often used as a film set.

Brilliant day out for families. It is free to visit, you just pay for parking. It gets very busy in the summer so I would recommend arriving when it opens so you can get a parking space. Fantastic family theme park, besides Pepper Pig the park is great for older children up to 14. Probably not big enough rides for teenagers. There’s a splash area so pack towels and a change of clothes for the log flume!

Lovely day out for all the family, only half an hour away. The flying shows are absolutely brilliant, really quite moving.

Between April & October the Tor Bus runs between the Magdalene Street car park and the base of the Tor. There is free access to the public at all times.
