City/town information

Oban is a little, but lively town on the beautiful West Coast of Scotland. It is also known as "the gateway to the Isles", as many ferries leave from here to the islands nearby and as far as the Outer Hebrides. It offers a stunning setting with beautiful views of the surrounding sea, islands and mountains. There are plenty of outdoor activities available, such as sailing, wild swimming, stand-up-paddleboarding, diving, kite surfing, sea kayaking and wild water kayaking to hiking and climbing. There are plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants to explore in town and nearby and there are a variety of shops and supermarkets to cater to everyone's needs. The people are generally very friendly and helpful.
