Small little place but love that it caters the old neighborhood and the old. It's all about the Arugula/Goat Cheese salad! Becomes a club on certain nights so early afternoon is best.

Now if you wanted to shoot a short film in a Starbucks that gave a full representation of the old Harlem, this would be the place. The older generation frequents here abundant. And it's lovely.

You simply cannot be up in Harlem and not have a cuchifrito experience. There is a spot closer on 110th but it does not come up in the search. Traditional, old school, Nuyorican cheap food.

In my opinion one of the warmest Bikram spots I've ever been to. The owners are sisters from the neighborhood and it shows in their community involvement. I always leave there uplifted.

I am disappointed they turned the cafe on the second level into a beer shop (BOOOOO!), but in terms of location, you can get what you need here and be content.

I highly recommend the Fine Fare on 117 over the one closer for the obvious reasons: more selections, WAY better produce. The one on 112 still has some growing to do.

So from the 72nd station, this is just 2 1/2 blocks away from Trader Joes and highly recommended. Good produce, good prices, and some select stuff you may not fine at an affordable price.
