Food Scene

Owned and operated by our family! In the heart of downtown, it serves amazing pan-Latin food and has a great porch to enjoy drinks and tapas on a nice day.

Our favorite local pizza joint! Bring cash and patience for long wait. Curios shop and live music many nights of the week make it a must stop.

Drinks & Nightlife

One of two local breweries in town, so far. Our favorite because it's close by, has a great outdoor space and lots of games for grown ups and kids alike. Check it out!

Shopping

One of only 12 feminist bookstores in the country. Great little store for books and more, tucked away in a courtyard with our local organic food co-op and the Civic Media Center.

Bring a picnic and sit under the big oak trees in these beautiful gardens with a blanket and a good book! It's a secret spot only the locals know and love.

Stop at the boardwalk for a chance to see wild horses and buffalo, or take a longer hike in the State Park in this preserve. During the winter time, this is the main spot for Sandhill cranes to take a rest in their annual migration.
