London's iconic Barbican centre; home to the Barbican Theater and Barbican Cinema. The theater draws world famous musicians and artists, and is an ideal way to soak up culture. The cinema, although small, is quite intimate, comfortable and is generally an enjoyable way to watch a movie.

More art than I can conceivably take in during a single visit. Do try and also see the frequent external installations in the square. Where possible, do both the Tate Modern and Tate Britain in one go. The connection/transfer is relatively easy if you use the TFL boat service.
