Food Scene

Casual, quasi collegiate pizza and beer spot. Not too pricey, almost never a wait, with a vibrant local social scene. Opens at 3:14 p.m. everyday.

As a Mexican food addict, this is my favorite taco spot. It's the only taqueria in the Mission with a dedicated taco bar. It's the real deal. Tacos are $1.40 ea. A must.

Office #2. Of the "big 3" hip SF coffee houses. (Blue Bottle & 4 Barrel being the other two) Trendy, yes...but the coffee is spectacular. (hence the line out the door)

Drinks & Nightlife

A civilized dive. Not a hipster hangout. No jukebox. Only vinyl. Sometimes a live organ player. Comfortably decorated, amiable crowd and bartenders. It's my favorite walk-to watering hole.

Upscale corner market and organic grocer with impressive global beer, spirits and boutique wine selection. Sometimes plays awesome punk rock on their stereo courtesy of DJ Ug.

Cheap Mexican grocer that makes their own salsa & ceviche (best salsa I've ever had). They have 2 locations. One of 26th Mission, the other one block down on 25th Mission.
