Sightseeing

Famous street. Denmark was the first country in the world to legalise pornography (in 1970 I think), and this is where it happened. Near the central station the drug dealers and hookers hang out. Lots of sex shops, became very gentrified over the past ten years. Now the other end of the street is really charming and full of great places, but stay away from the central station area. It's creepy.

The beating heart of the Nørrebro neighborhood. Go here at 7-8am in the morning to see a million bikes ride all over the place through Nørrebrogade. Don't bike there yourselves during rush hour, it's dangerous. Nørrebro is good for strange shops and a nice mix of working class and middle class people. Like Vesterbro, but more boring ;) Very cheap area though.

My favourite second-hand bookshop on one of my favourite streets. Has many art books and a somewhat decent english language section. Extremely good service - I always ask for recommendations and never regret it whenever I feel like reading something new. Many litterature students work there, so you sometimes almost get a lecture if you are interested!
