Warmest part of the City. My advice is to start on 16th and Mission, walk down to 24th and make right, then a block to Valencia Street and walk back up to 16th. Big mix of traditional Mexican neighborhood with new/eclectic shops, bars, and restaurants.

Getting Around

You can buy individual bus tickets, cable car tickets, and bus passes at this MUNI stop. Corner of Geary & Presidio. For those planning to visit Fisherman's Wharf, my favorite recommendation is Dave's Poor-Tour. Hop on the #43 bus North, outside our house, and for $2.25 you can ride the bus through the very scenic Presidio Army Base, then across the Marina District, and get off the very last stop at Fort Mason. Then take the walking trail behind Ft. Mason along the water, and you will come out at Fisherman's Wharf.
