This is an awesome classic diner, perfect for lunch with the family. They have a collection of vintage soda bottles and a train that goes around the ceiling of the restaurant. Our favorites on the menu are the Philly Cheese Steak and the Chicken Tenders, the Miner’s Diner also has really good fried zucchini.

Romano’s is a great sit down Italian restaurant. They have all the classic Italian dishes you can think of from spaghetti and meatballs to Chicken Piccata, as well as great pizzas and calzones. We love their Deluxe Pizza perfect for a group of people.

Julian is known for its apple pies so why not go to the original, Julian Pie Co. They have the best pies in town. Our favorite variation is the Dutch Apple Pie with those tasty crumbs on top.

William Heise Park has a magnificent wedding tree that has been there forever it has been used for thousands of weddings dating back hundreds of years, definitely worth checking out.

There are many historical buildings that now house shops and Bed and Breakfasts. Most of the historical buildings have plaques on them that tell the story of the building. There is also a good walking tour that you can get from the town hall.

This a great neighborhood park of Julian there are baseball fields and a great grass area to have a picnic. The park is about a half of a mile from Main St. Julian.

The California Wolf Center is a must see on your trip to Julian. They have multiple packs of wolves that you can visit on one of their tours. We highly suggest a private tour because they are more intimate and you get a guided observation of two packs of wolves. They do ask for you to make a reservation at least two weeks before your visit.

This is a gorgeous Mountain Preserve with nearly 2,900 acres of protected forest. There is a 5-mile hike through the preserve that is rated at moderate to difficult so be prepared, but there are some great views along the way.
