I just love this greasy spoon Cafe! The owners and their children are a treat to be served by and the atmosphere is classic small town BC, replete with old photos of loggers and such.

Outlaw wild west dirt bike drivin'/Old world russian heritage recipes/Healthy hippie draft dodger influenced delicious food and kind service!
You can walk for an hour on the rail trail towards Winlaw from Fabulous farm and have lunch or coffee.

This community run golf course and restaurant are right across the street from us. The club house has a wrap around deck looking out over the greens, where you can have a drink and a meal after golfing.

Parks & Nature
In July and August it is a real treat to see the wildflowers and the expansive 360 degree views of the mountains. I thought that the sound of music was just a Hollywood set. I didn't know that vast fields of flowers carpeted whole mountain ranges for real, until I visited Idaho Peak. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Idaho!

Right across the street from Fabulous Farm. Skiing, walking, jogging, horseback riding and biking for many kilometres north or south.

No mosquitos! Sandy, unsupervised, but contained swimming area with dock and diving board. Giant pilings that brave children climb up and jump off of into the water of Slocan Lake. There is a beach volleyball game going most of the summer and big shade trees in the grass to picnic and watch the swimmers. Also, there is a community boat launch and gazebo.
