Recommendations for restaurants and coffee shops
Here is a small list of some of my favourite places to eat out in Tremblant from a modest to an extravagant budget. I also note which ones are kid and family friendly. Most of my recommendations are in St Jovite because I have found the food to be better tasting and better priced than the Tremblant resort area.
This is one of my favourites in St.Jovite. Great upscale diner cafe with fresh food. Breakfast and lunch is tasty. The staff are so friendly! It is bit pricey and there is usually a line-up to get seated especially on the weekends. The little ones may get fidgety during the wait.

This sushi restaurant is operated by a long time local proprietor. She and her daughter have been building the business and have just expanded it to this new location. It is a little pricey but if you have a craving for sushi it's worth it!

Best to make reservation well in advance especially for the weekend. If you want a vegetarian option ask for it when you make the reservation. You might be able to do take out orders on the weekends but you need order online before hand. Not so kid friendly.

435 Rue des PionniersThis pub, in St Jovite, has the best fish and chips. One of my go to places. It is good for lunch or dinner. The beer is locally brewed and excellent too. Order the tray selection of beer they have to offer and discover all the flavours they brew. It is a casual and lively place. It can be loud during the dinner rush.

This is a diner very close to the house ( 5 minute walk). You can get a good breakfast (diner style) here and they also deliver dinners. I recommend the breakfasts especially if you want to get the local neighborhood experience.

If you want to have the ultimate romantic dinner or lunch, then this is the place. It has a very nice view of the lake in the Tremblant resort area, a fancy menu and good service. I recommend this restaurant if you want one of the best dining experiences in Tremblant for French style cuisine. You will pay for the luxury. :)

Potate Ben-venue is a classic budget friendly Quebec poutine diner. If you want vegetarian poutine, they have it. It's not a long drive from the house, but google map it first because crossing of the main 117 road to get there is not so obvious.

If you want a day of canoeing and kayaking with the kids while seeing more of the area then I recommend going to Pause Plein Air ( about a 10 minute drive from the chalet) to rent a kayak there to explore the river nearby. The company will drive you to the start of the river route and then it takes anywhere between 2 -4 hours to make your way back to the business location. You can stop, swim and then have a picnic on your own sandy beach or hidden cove.

It is in the quaint old Tremblant village, right next to the train du nord path and across from the Auberge La Porte Rouge. The restaurant at the Auberge has decent food and it also has a nice patio to sit and have an ice tea or beer.

This is a great kids playground with swings, jungle gym and lots of room to run around. It is very close to the house. If the kids are younger, I recommend using a stroller or car to drive there as kids may be too tired to walk back to the house after playing.

Things to do for adults during the summer
Here is a few suggestions of things to do in the area during the summer. I am recommending things that may be off the beaten track and less familiar to tourists.
This is a good place to rent bikes, skis and snowshoes in the old Tremblant village and it is away from the busy-ness of the resort. The trail starts a block away from the rental store.
I think this is a better location for starting a bike ride or walking on the Train du Nord trail than the usual on starting at the resort entrance.
