West Enders have their night scene, but East Enders have Cal's. Best food, great drinks (Monkey La La is a must try) great views, super unusual dishes. The food is spectacular! Some things you can only get at Cal's. One of the places the Expats hang out. Great conversation there too.

We always go there when we go to West End. Vincent is a great cook and the food is reasonably priced. The bar is an adventure - be flexible, since you might order one thing and get another. Views to the water up on the deck. Nice spot! Be sure to park in the lot outside West End- very little parking these days in West End itself.

Check out the amazing iguanas and monkeys - this farm has been protecting iguanas for decades and they are truly amazing. Kids love them, they look like little dinosaurs!

Carambola is a labor of love of Irma and Bill Brady, working to preserve and display the fantastic ecology of this island paradise. Carambola is beautiful, the guides are wonderful, hike up the trail to the top and be rewarded by spectacular views of the ocean. If you are lucky, you might catch Bill or Irma there and be treated to two of the most amazing ecologists you will ever meet.

Go to Oakridge for the mangrove tunnel tour. Stop atHole in the Wall while you are there for food and the local expat scene. Of course, you could take a kayak from La Diosa and explore the Politilly Mangrove tunnels for free!
