Jade and John operate this funky little venue on the Terrace. They are proud chefs who create seasonal menus that are interesting and brilliant tasting. Not open until 10am it is a top spot for brunch or lunch. Highly recommended.

Every Tuesday the local Farmers Market happens on the football field, adjacent to the Yum Yum Tree Cafe and the New Brighton General Store. A must visit if you are here, even if only to view the produce and the people and enjoy the locals vibe. A must visit if you are here, even if only to view the produce and the people and enjoy the locals vibe. But what better way to enhance your stay than using fresh local produce in your cooking. 8am to 11am every Tuesday.
This little cafe spills out onto the footpath across from the park and the river. It is north facing so it enjoys the morning sun and is protected from any southerly winds. Alan and Mark offer wonderful fare with a Scandinavian bent.

Eat inside if the weather is not perfect, or if it is, aim for an outside table or at the window so you can enjoy the views and sights across The Terrace and the park to the river. Cameron and his team offer a well thought out menu and infuse it with personality.

The Country Club is the closest nighttime entertainment venue to us. It is walkable, but the Club sits atop a steep hill, so the Courtesy Bus is recommended. Just call the Club and they will pick you up and drop you home later. The Club is also home to an 18 hole golf course, bowling greens and the home to many community clubs and activities. There is also a great restaurant on site, Seasalt.
