Sleeping Ute Mountain is visible from our front porch, and all of the Four Corners states. My favorite view for pictures is from the Rest Stop on Hwy 184, between Cortez and Mesa Verde. One local bit of lore -- don't plant your garden until all of the snow has melted from the mountain.
