This is where the men of the 1916 rising who were executed in Kilmainham Gaol were laid to rest, the graveyard is interesting for all the young English soldiers buried there in the early 19th century

If you hire a bike you can cycle to (or walk) Farmleigh, a Guinness house before the government bought it as a B&B, an interesting tour, good restaurants, walk around grounds, lovely gardens.

It's big but you can hire a bike from the Park Gate Street end and spend a few hours looking for the deer roaming, there are three good restaurants to choose from, a zoo, and Farmleigh
