Food Scene

This is our favorite local restaurant. We eat there so often we get a special greeting from the bartender and often a table visit from the chef/owner. If you go for brunch, try the Eggs Kennebunkport or the breakfast pizza!

Quick and easy, this place makes personalized pizzas in minutes. The house made sodas are also very good.

Great Mexican food! This chain started as a local food truck. It is a great place to go with kids. There is no waiting and the kid's meal is $5. I could live on the salsa alone.

Parks & Nature

It's a short drive away, but this is a great place to go to wander. You can get right up to the original columns from the old West front of the Capitol Building. They now stand on a hill at the center of the 100 acre park. The bonsai museum is also worth a trip.

Arts & Culture

Arena Stage premiers new plays every season and puts on wonderful revivals of well known ones. We have been season ticket holders for years. You will have a great night out on the Southwest waterfront if you take in a performance.

Take a walk through the original open stall market that anchors Capitol Hill and gives the neighborhood around it its name. Pick up the fixing for dinner or a pie for dessert. Or, go to the iconic Market Lunch for huge pancakes on the weekend!
