Summer only. Open for lunch. Idyllic and magical. Have your sandwich and soup in an enchanting flower garden complete with water features, flowers and trees, seating areas in every nook and cranny, and little wood houses constructed by the owners themselves. You'll never forget this hidden gem.

City advice

Getting around

Free ski hill shuttle from Platzl

Shuttle runs daily during ski season, every hour. Pick up is at Howard Street (top of Platzl).
Getting around

Take a bus to Cranbrook for $2

For $2 one way, you can get to Cranbrook from Kimberley. Cheaper than your car! Service starts at 8:30AM, last service at 2:15PM. Bus stop is on the other side of the tunnel:)
Don't miss

Kimberley Farmers Market

from 5-7:30PM at the top of the Platzl. Fresh fruit, veggies, AMAZING bread (come early- the line up is insane), fresh dumplings and fried donuts. So good!
Customs and culture

Say hi!

Smile and say hi:) You'll fit right in with the locals!
Book before you go

The Old Bauernhaus- Kimberley

make a reservation, as these guys are booked solid and you won't get a table without one.
Book before you go

Pedal & Tap- Kimberley

Go early, as in 5pm or late as in 8pm- otherwise expect to wait about 45 minutes for a table. Pedal does not take resos!
What to pack

Take bear spray on your hikes

We have lots of bears in and around Kimberley, even on trails close to town. So always carry (and know how to use) your bear spray.
Getting around

Find the hidden trails

Take the scenic route into town! Instead of walking on the road, walk across main run (in summer only) and along the pool of the neighboring condo building. Follow the road (away from main road) down and around to Trickle Creek condos. There is a trail behind Trickle Creek Condos- follow it down the hill. It's super lush and nice. At the bottom, cross the road onto the golf course and walk into town that way, or walk on main road until Bauernhaus, turn right and look for trail on left hand side to take you into town:) If in doubt, just ask:) Bring bear spray!
