Eat-in or take away both available at this fab little deli! You'll step through the door and be presented with an amazing selection of fresh baked cakes and local produce. The cafe serves freshly cooked food and hosts regular special event nights and pizza night on Saturdays (pre-booking usually required). Plus the staff are always friendly and happy to help you.

A nice little pub that serves meals - the Sunday roast is highly recommended! If you're staying with your dog, this is the place to go as they are welcome here.

For relaxed drinking and dining, and just a couple of minutes walk away from Dolphin Cottage, this place is one to visit. With sea views and a balcony to sit on while you enjoy your favourite tipple, it's certainly somewhere to relax. Dogs are welcome too.

Our favourite fish and chip shop in Whitby! They have an extensive menu and we highly recommend the fish platter, amazing value and you won't be complaining that you're hungry! They also have a restaurant near to the West Pier and the beach.

Great for drinks and dining with weekly special nights (including burger nights and steak nights) and offering a Sunday roast. Relaxed atmosphere and an amazing fish tank that keeps our kids entertained while waiting for their meals to arrive.

A lovely park set on the hillside. Our kids always love to head here to play and explore. It is also where you will find The Whitby Museum with it's fascinating collection that includes dinosaur fossils and Captain Cook related exhibits. Well worth a visit.

A lovely village best known as the location for the Hartbeat TV series. The train station is also recognisable as the Hogwarts stop in the Harry Potter films. There are some lovely walks around this area once you have finished exploring the village.

This sometimes forgotten street, and Silver Street which runs behind it, is home to a variety of quirky and interesting little shops, cafes, bars and galleries. We like Bothams Bakery and Tea Rooms, The White Rabbit and Silver Street Gallery and always pop in when we're in Whitby.
