Ramble across Herbert Park and over to Lansdowne Road Dart Station and take the train (approx 2.60) to Howth. Beautiful seaview walks and don't forget to buy or sample the famous Dublin Bay Prawns available in many of the fine food houses there. Dart back will take approx 25 mins and the walk back to the house is another 20, but well worth it.

3 minutes walk from the house., this is total chill. Lovely landscaped lawns, gazebos, ponds and flower gardens encompassing football pitches, tennis courts, and croquet lawns, all circled by easy running/walking paths, casually but unobtrusively littered with exercise machines. Feed the ducks, hang a while if the sun is shining and just enjoy. This little park is heaven on your doorstep.
