Great waterfront dining out on the pier. This is a basic divey place to get your fried seafood baskets with fries and some chowder. My favorite is hitting them up for breakfast because coffee and salt air in the summer is just dreamy! Watch the boats come and go, enjoy a lobster roll and a nice cold beer.

Fantastic little neighborhood bar just a stones throw from Hammond St House. These guys have a killer selection of local beers, some cans of wine and cider and a limited selection of whiskey. That is all. Sports on the TV (especially if there is soccer happening!) vinyl spinning or live music the rest of the time. Food trucks or carts are often there. Dogs are welcome inside or out.

Dining in Portland

You are here for the food so... here is the list of the known highlights as well as our secret favorites that are a bit less famous but just as amazing.
Best pork chop in town... best octopus in town... and don't get me started on Chris' hibiscus margarita! Isa is a small bistro serving a mix of french, american and mexican food. Brunch is fantastic and if its summertime the be sure to enjoy the patio. If you want to know what to do in town and don't trust our guidebook, sit at the bar and get to know Chris... he is a Portland expert and might just sell you a house after he makes you fall in love with our fair city.
