This park has a variety of hiking and easy walking trails, a very nice visitor's center and Roaring Camp right next door. The historic train at Roaring Camp goes up into the redwoods.

This fine dining restaurant is more affordable than Scopazzi's and is in the next town south - Ben Lomond. It has a comfortable atmosphere and a nice outdoor terrace when the weather is good with a fountain. Their brunch is excellent.

Typical Bavarian (German) food is served in a very homey atmosphere. It's fairly expensive, but not too bad. There is a kids' play area and sometimes a bouncy house.
