Family Fun

Summerfest celebrations have been going on in Bricktown at Windward Beach for over 25 years, Thursdays during July live music starts at 7 pm; the DJ starts about 5 and there is a traditional shore food court and a beer garden. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and cooler. Spend a beautiful summer night under the stars on the shore of the Metedeconk River with a fireworks display to close the evening This is a great family fun place with playgrounds, where you can picnic, go crabbing and play bocce if you like. On other nights there are car shows and movie nights. Shuttles are available from several locations for your convenience. And check out the Brick Farmer's Market every Saturday from May through September. This Farmer's Market boasts Jersey Fresh fruits and veggies from local farms. It also has artisan cheese and pasta. Lots of great baked goods, plants, coffee, crafts and more. Trader's Cove Trader's Cove Marina and Park is located at the end of Mantoloking Road (about 2 1/2 miles down the rd.) at the foot of the rebuilt Mantoloking Bridge. Beautiful views and boat slips; playground for the children and great place to go crabbing and even take a bike ride under the bridge to the other side where a small portion of the old bridge still stands as a pier to fish and crab or just have a picnic Crab Shack Want some really fresh fish? Well this salt of the earth (pun intended) family has run this business for as long as I can remember. They are knowledgeable and helpful and they make a mean chowder.
