You can buy everything you need to from Easingwold, whether the small independents of which we are well served...or the two Co-ops in the town which are open seven days a week and the one in the centre of the market square until 10pm at night. Friday market is also fantastic....and look out for some great independents as well - Charles Hobson, Hearts, Georgia Lilley, Old Flames etc....

Lots of great independent shops in this easily accessible Spa-Town. A lovely place to while away a few hours.....expect to the find the usual brands as well as plenty of smaller, quirkier boutiques. And if you're wanting to head to Betty's you'll find the iconic Yorkshire tea room in the centre....or buy something to eat at Ivy Cottage.

At JORVIK Viking Centre you are standing on the site of one of the most famous and astounding discoveries of modern archaeology. Between the years 1976-81 archaeologists from York Archaeological Trust, an independent educational charity, revealed the houses, workshops and backyards of the Viking-Age city of Jorvik as it stood nearly 1,000 years ago. These incredible discoveries enabled us to build JORVIK Viking Centre on the very site where the excavations had taken place, creating a groundbreaking visitor experience where you take a journey through the reconstruction of Viking-Age streets and experience life as it would have been in 10th century York.
