Falkland Palace is a truly fascinating place to visit, and only a few minutes drive from Freuchie. It has one of the world's oldest tennis courts, a chapel, gorgeous furnished rooms to wander and lovely gardens.

The East Neuk of Fife is an area of great beauty, the fishing villages of Crail, Anstruther, Pittenweem and Cellardyke and Lower Largo are well worth a few visits for beaches, old stone architecture, art festivals and galleries, antiques, sea views, picturesque harbours, the salty tang of the sea - must be seen.
this is a lovely area for walks, very popular with local dog walkers and friendly - there is a river that more adventurous dogs can scramble down to for a swim. The car parks are free and you have a choice of longer or shorter walks - very lovely and peaceful. The odd fallen log you can walk round.

Dundee is in the news these days with the new V & A Design Museum, and Discovery Point, as well as great views up the Law Hill of the whole city and surroundings, the Frigate Unicorn, the Science Museum for children, the swimming pool and many other places to visit as well as shopping!

Falkland is 5 minutes drive from Freuchie, and is a historic and very attractive old town to wander round, with restaurants, pubs and lovely gift shops, and nearby walks on the Falkand Estate through beautiful countryside to the waterfall at Mapsie Den, and to Pillars of Hercules health food restaurant and shop. Parking can be tight at very popular times.
