Traveling to Mt. Baker made easier with this guide. Stop by the visitors center in Maple Falls for local conditions, there are also plenty of guides at Wander. For seasonal events, visit the Wander website wanderaframe.com. We use AllTrails or WTA for current trail conditions.

Grocery Stores

There's not a lot of huge grocery stores in the immediate area. We suggest you stop in Sedro-Wolley, Bellingham, Everett or Abbotsford if you're heading to the cabin for a long stay. There's a number of local shops though where you can find coffee, milk, bread, dry goods, beer, wine and BBQ foods.

Sightseeing and Hikes

There's a number of routes to get to the cabin. Make it a day just getting here as there are so many sights as you wander to your final destination. Mt. Baker has over 90 hikes in and around the Mt. Baker Forest. We use AllTrails for current hiking conditions.
We always recommend you drive the Mt. Baker Hwy to the cabin. It's a beautiful trip in either direction. Take the winding road through valleys, see the mountain tops and just enjoy the drive, no matter the season.

Take the windy road via Chuckanut Drive, the views are lovely. Give yourself plenty of time to stop to take pictures and make sure to stop by Taylor for oysters!
