Take a tour of Hook lighthouse. Fabulous views of The Wexford and Waterford coast. it's about an hour and a half drive but well worth it. Travel back to Ballyhack and take the car ferry to Passage East and out to Dun more East for even more stunning coastal views.

The coastal village of Courtown is only 4 miles away. Take a walk on the beach at the end of the Burrow road. Come back and enjoy fish and chips or an ice cream while watching the sailing boats in the harbour.

Spent a lovely afternoon here recently. A guided tour of the castle gave us lots of interesting information. The agricultural museum had lots to see and do. GREAT cafe and play area for children. The walks around the lake were magical with great views back to the castle. The walled garden is being restored at present and we can't wait to go back in the summer to see what progress has been made.
