This is my all time favorite place to eat in CDA. I LOVE their Pho soup. I like to get a large bowl of their "all meats" soup. The meatballs in it are surprisingly sweet. Absolutely delicious!

With spectacular views from the CDA Resort, this is a must go place if you are going out for desert. They serve famous sundaes called "Gooeys". It's a huge sundae with tons of toppings. If you order a regular sized one, make sure you have someone to share with as you won't be able to finish it by yourself!!

Drinks & Nightlife

Great hangout spot to grab a beer. I really enjoy getting their big mugs (huge mugs!) of Blue Moon with an orange slice. It's perfectly refreshing for a hot day and you can relax on one of their comfy couches.

Literally just a few blocks from my house, Capone's is a sports themed Italian bar and grill. It's a very popular spot and actually my girlfriend's favorite restaurant! Whenever we go she always order the garlic cheese fries with a side of ranch to dip it in. She says they have the "best Ranch dressing!", which always makes me chuckle a bit!

Parks & Nature

I love taking a hike around Tubbs Hill. The views of the lake are magnificent. Also, there are tons of great little swimming spots all along. If you are a thrill seeker, lots of people enjoy jumping off of the cliffs into the water. However, make sure to ask a local or observe someone jumping prior to you giving it a shot. There are some shallow spots and you certainly don't want to jump in and hit the bottom!

Great people watching and fun to jump in the water to cool off. Independence point is also wonderful spot to sit on the steps with your feet in the water or walk up and down the water feature. It's also great to take a stroll along the boardwalk.

One of the newer parks in CDA, McEuen Park has been a wonderful addition to downtown. It has a great playground, splash pad, tennis courts, dog park, pavilion, library, walking paths, bike trails, and lots of beautiful green space. They also have many concerts in the park in the summer time. Worth checking out!

Rent a fishing pole and go out to Fernan Lake, on the very eastern end of Sherman Avenue. You can drop a line right off of the dock and catch a big perch or a catfish. Don't forget to buy your Idaho State fishing license first though!!

My daughter loves to go to NIC beach to jump off of the dock. There's also a couple sand volleyball courts if you would like to challenge the locals or if you just like to sit back and watch!

In the summertime, Sherman Avenue is often shut off to traffic as there are many festivals and events that take place on CDA's iconic main street. There are all kinds of great little shops and restaurants all along. Also, it's a great place to see and be seen!! ;-)
