The Moncada Barracks was the second largest military garrison in Cuba, named after the General Guillermón Moncada, a hero of the Cuban War of Independence. The garrison was the site of an armed attack on July 26, 1953 by small group of revolutionaries led by Fidel Castro. Today the garrison is a primary school and there is also a museum.

This is the most outstanding monument executed in the city of Santiago and its at just 7 min of Tropical Dream BnB. In this place is erected with 16 meters height the highest statue in the whole country in honor to the hero Antonio Maceo Grajales. More than 53000 square meters takes up this place. It is a monumental group that besides the equestrian work with the figure of Maceo, it is supplemented by 23 machetes that raise up, upright that represent the date of March 23, 1878. There is also the area of the Eternal Flame in memory of the martyrs. Here it exhibits two distinctions that only this historical city possesses: the Star of Hero of the Republic of Cuba and the Order Antonio Maceo.

Considered an architectural jewelry built after the revolution which is also a convention centre named to honor the first romantic poet of America, Jose Maria Heredia who born in Santiago and was famous by his poem Ode to Niagara, written in 1825. The theatre is specialized in musical presentations, international fairs, local expo, international festivals, etc. There is also 2 snack bars, the Cafe Niagara, a restaurant with dance floor and a literary workshop.
