Visit the historic site, and learn about the capture site of Nelson Mandela before he went to jail. Well worth a visit! About 30 minute drive out of Pietermaritzburg.

Although 30 minutes drive out of PIetermaritzburg, it's a lovely sight to see when the falls are flowing. Give it a miss if there's a drought. There are also shops in the vicinity to browse through, and on occassional Sundays there is a flea market.
