It's a cool thing to see and a place to swim . "First Connecticut Lake:  (Located in the town of Pittsburg, 5 miles northeast of the village center, Rt.3)  A great place to launch your boat and spend a day on the water relaxing or fishing!  Take your pick of the three boat launches.  Also has a well kept beach, located near the dam, a great spot to spend a summer’s day! Second Connecticut Lake:  (Located  in Pittsburg, 2 miles upstream from First Connecticut Lake, Rt. 3.) Launch your boat here to enjoy a day on the water surrounded by vast mountains.  Also a great spot for picnicking, swimming  and place to spend a hot summer day! Third Connecticut Lake:  (Located 5 miles (8 km) upstream from Second Connecticut Lake and less than 1 mile (1.6 km) south of the Canadian border on Rt. 3) Like the other lakes, it is equipped with a boat launch.  A great place to relax, cool off in the water and picnic."
