This is our favorite swimming pool, it has amazing views of the city from the hot tubs, outdoor dressing rooms, steam bath, a childrens pool and a swimming pool. The only thing is that it´s not in our neighborhood. It is an 8 minute drive from the apartment.

Our favorite Ice cream shop called Ísbúð Huppu within walking distance from the apartment. You must try what they call Huppurefur where you can choose from 3 types of candies, berries, fruits, nutella or peanut butter blended with milk or cream based ice cream.

This restaurant is more upscale. It´s in Laugarvegur, the main street down town. It serves Lebanese and Moroccan cuisine. It´s great for sharing 3-4 plates and then finishing off with a dessert.

A quick, easy hike (about an hour) at the edge of Reykjavík. It´s about 10 minute drive from the apartment. It is cirka 160 meters climb but at the top it has amazing views of Reykjavík, the ocean and mountains around the city.

This is a hot spring river where you can take a dip in the river after a 40 - 60 minute hike. I recommend going if the weather forcast is nice. It´s about 40 minute drive from Reykjavík.
