The Victory Square is located very close to our apartment (5 min walk). This square is dedicated to soldiers died in the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet People and commemorated with the eternal flame symbolising the remembrance of these people. The place is very clean and peaceful. Bikers, skaters and other active people always walk around the place. The square is open 24 hours, free of charge. Shops, cafes and restaurants are easily found.

The old but beautiful Opera and Ballet Theatre (10 min walk). Classical and local productions are staged in this elegant building, usually starting at 5pm Friday to Sunday, autumn to spring. You can check the billboards outside for upcoming shows. Tickets are often available up until performance start times.

The old but beautiful Opera and Ballet Theatre (10 min walk). Classical and local productions are staged in this elegant building, usually starting at 5pm Friday to Sunday, autumn to spring. You can check the billboards outside for upcoming shows. Tickets are often available up until performance start times.
Ala-Too Square (20 min walk) The Heart of Bishkek - main square of the city where the biggest flagpole with the sentinels is located. At the northern edge of the square is the State Historical Museum, behind which lies Oak Park. A large pedestal holds a statue of Manas, where previously a statue of Lenin stood. Lenin now stands behind the museum, on the Old Square. Next to Manas is the official flagpole of the Kyrgyz Republic.
