This is really close to us. A 5 min walk down the hill to the Upper Village. They have cinnamon buns that Joe really likes and recently I tried their doughnuts and thought they were really great, especially the Score bar one and I am not a doughnut person, so that says something.

This is Ciel's favorite place. It is or used to be more of a local's place. It is a drive away in Creekside but if you want to get away from the touristy part of Whistler I would suggest this place. It is a bistro style restaurant and has local and regional fare. Very West Coast.

One of the longest standing restaurants in Whistler. It is outside of the village and everyone has good things to say about this place. I had the best risotto of my life there. Read the Trip Advisor and Yelp reviews, they will tell you all you need to know. I highly recommend it and if you like game and fish, I think this is supposed to be the best place to go, though I am not 100% sure as I don't eat that but I think I recall hearing this.

Parks & Nature

This is an easy hike, you can do it in runners. It is fun and interesting and pretty. You are going to be in Function Junction, so if you like beer, you can stop off after for a beer at one of our two local craft beer spots where they brew their own. We do have a third brewery and that is more well known and bigger, in the main village at the Whistler Brew House restaurant.

Gorgeous hike with a few lakes to see. Two I think. This is about a total of 3-5 hours up and down but you may want to double check. At times of the year it is too snowy to go so again, check this first. The drive up is beautiful, about a 30-40 min drive from Whistler but if you like hiking, it will probably be a highlight for you.

Shopping

This is in the Upper Village where the stroll for the Fairmont hotel is. They have it twice a week in the summer months. On Sunday and in the late afternoon on Wednesdays. Definitely check it out if you want local items.

Essentials

This is a small store for essentials. Right next to the BC liquor store. Otherwise if you have a car and want more options and organics, go to Nesters. It is only a 5 min drive from the village.
