Restaurants are available for any taste and any continent. Multiple microbreweries, a distillery, a wine shop, and a hard cider shop. Desserts are not left out. We have a pie haus, a fine chocolate shop, and delights from each restaurant venue. Pomphret Street is loaded with unique gift and jewelry shops. Sightseeing
Hawk Watch offers an amazing view of the Carlisle valley. It's a great place to bring the camera and the binoculars. Great for children and the young at heart. Hiking here can be tricky as it is very rocky. If you are lucky enough you will see the birds of prey for which the area is named. Also a location to see the American Bald Eagle.

If you are interested in military vehicles and like to get hands on this is the place for the whole family. The best part is the walking path with real tanks, missiles, helicopters, and military installations is FREE. It's a great place to learn, explore, and even tire the little ones out a bit.

If you have any interest in the American Civil War, well this is a definite must see. We highly recommend taking a guided tour. And if you are into paranormal phenomenon this is supposably a hot spot since so many sacrificed their lives on these battle fields in only three days.

Carlisle Events puts on the largest vehicle shows on the east coast at the Carlisle Fairgrounds. No matter your motoring passion, there is a show for you. Our home is located within ear shot of the fairgrounds.

The Army War College is one of the oldest Army installations in the United States. Officers from our nation and allied nations are educated at this facility. It's also home to the Native American School. One of the most famous is Jim Thorpe an American Olympic athlete. Any person wanting to enter the base MUST go to the security entry building and acquire a pass with proper identification.
