Just 8 short miles from the lodge, La Push is the home of the Quileute Tribe as well as a few of Olympic National Parks favorite beaches. Short walks on well maintained trails through lush coast conifers deliver you to some of the most unique and awesome vistas. There is a lovely restaurant right at the mouth of the Quileute River, offering peaceful views of the river meeting the Pacific Ocean. The menu offers quality regional comfort lunches and dinners. Great desserts! The otter, seals and sealions frolic in the water surrounding the River's Edge Restaurant while the Bald Eagles, Seagulls and numerous varieties of sea birds fly overhead.

City advice

Book before you go

Rialto Beach

Check tide tables making sure you'll arrive at the beach one hour prior to low tide, trek north on the beach about 40 minutes easy walk to the hole in the wall. There you'll find the tide pools. Dogs must be on leash.
What to pack

Bring rain coat and rain shoes, no matter what time of year!

Heavier warm weather rain gear face scarves, mittens and sunglasses a must for winter, spring and fall...

Remember where you are geographically

We are quite remote. Cell service is sketchy at best. Please pack pocket snacks and water. PS There is no fast food anywhere near!
