Take a trip to Hawaii or Bikini without leaving Toronto. The Shameful Tiki will delight you with its amazing cocktails and delicious polynesian cuisine. Three Dots and a Dash or the classic Mai Tai and the Teriaki Broccoli and Tacos are not to be missed! Live events regularly pack the place. We are almost regulars.

City advice

Getting around

Download Uber and buy a Presto card for TTC public transit

Find a local shop with Wifi and order an Uber if you are in a rush. Use Google Maps to plan your trip on the TTC. Opt for the least amount of transfers to simplify your route (unless there is a significant difference in time).
Ways to save

The best cheap meal/snack at McDonalds

Buy a McDouble or two. Ask for extra pickles and extra onion to ensure it is made fresh, has more texture, and tastes great. The McChicken isn't bad, add a tomato to prevent scurvy. ;)
Ways to save

Buy the Toronto Pass if you are visiting attractions

The pass is a ticket book that will get you admission to many of the top attractions in Toronto. You save a few dollars if you are visiting several attractions but most importantly, you skip the ticket lineups!
Customs and culture

Stand to the sides of the subway doors to let people out of thetrain

People in Toronto are nice, but they will ram you if you stand in front of the TTC subway doors on the station platform. Stand to the side, let them off the train and then enter.
What to pack

USB is the key to all of your power needs

Try and travel with devices that charge with USB. Consider a lithium battery powerpack/charger that can be charged through USB and can charge your devices on the go. However, beware of cheap USB chargers
