Avalon village has a few great little restaurants
I love Thai and there are 2 0r 3, BYO are Bangkok Thai on the main street
and Sa Baaing also in the centre of Avalon
The Japanese Restaurant called Ninja is also a great one to go to if you like BYO
If you want to spend a bit and you like French , Bistro Boulevard have a great food menu, its always busy so you have to book, its not really for large parties better for an intimate dinner for two or 4,
I love the Steak Frites, just like you would get at a cute little bistro in Paris.
If you want to go further a field you have Barrenjoey House in Palm Beach
Also in the same chain, The Joey, on the water at Palm Beach

Dunes sister Restaurant in Mona Vale is called Rosa, a great upmarket Mexican .

We love to go to Bilgola and walk the 20 minute walk to Newport and back and then have a coffee overlooking the waves at Zubi's cafe, you can have breakfast there , it's a great vibe.

The trail from the car park to the lighthouse is a steep climb in parts taking about twenty minutes, but the ocean and coastal views once you reach the lighthouse are spectacular and make the effort worth while. You may even be lucky enough to spot a migrating whale in the right season.
