One of the best location neighborhoods, with Memorial Park at walking distance, packed with a great crowd of younger folks in their 30s-50s. Excellent restaurants/bars and night life at hand! I highly recommend for people moving to Houston.

This area is know as the Oil and Gas neighborhood where most energy companies are located, there are big and beautiful parks too. Not far from the city center either.

Definitely the most beautiful park in Houston surrounded by museums and the Med Center at walking distance. They have a beautiful outdoor theater “Miller Outdoor Theater” that you must check out! They have many free shows there.

Getting around

If you’re moving to Houston don’t choose downtown or midtown

I would not live in downtown or midtown. It has a heavier vibe to live in, it feels like a concrete jungle and the level of crime is higher. I wouldn’t walk alone at night. These places are great to visit for a night or day out, that’s it.
