Things to do

Breckenridge may be best known for its skiing, but there is plenty of beautiful hiking, biking, fishing and even kayaking to be done in the area. The town itself also has a variety of shops to browse and restaurants and coffee shops where you can stop awhile.
We love the rec center mainly for its pool and waterslide, but there are also sport courts inside and outside, gym equipment, a climbing wall, and a nice lounge area

We love hiking to the reservoir from the Snowflake chair trailhead. It is a great little hike for kids, dogs, couples... about 1 mile each way, much of it along the creek. You can fish in the reservoir, take a picnic, or just sit and admire the astonishing views!!

Isak the troll is set in a lovely wooded area, and easy to get to with just a short walk. There are longer hikes into the woods and along a creek too. Highline Railroad Park has a fun playground for kids and some old trains to look at, and is right next to the Ice Arena and close to the trailhead for Isak.

Easy access to skiing

You can walk across the street to get on Four O'Clock Run and then ski down to Snowflake lift - stick to the right turns. From Snowflake lift you can get to the base of Peak 8 which offers a grill and bar, as well as access to all levels of skiing, from beginner to expert.

Getting into town

To get into town, you can grab the shuttle at the base of Snowflake lift, or just walk down the hill (about 15 mins). It is a very short drive into town - about 2 mins - just remember parking may be tough on Main Street but there are several lots around too.
Getting around

Airport transfer

There are several ways to get to the house from the airport. You can rent a car for an easy 90 min drive - opt for a four-wheel drive during the winter since ice and snow are part of the high Alpine environment. If you prefer a shuttle, here are some options: Peak 1 Express Fresh Tracks Transportation Summit Express Epic Mountain Express Breck Direct
Travelling with kids

Kid/ baby items available

We have two pack and play cribs and a gate or two, as well as a high chair that straps onto dining chairs. There are plastic plates, bowls, cups and utensils too. Please let us know if you need any of these or other items. We would be happy to help where we can! There is also a selection of children's books and some toys and games too.
