So close you can almost smell the coffe brewing! Very convenient to Sage, Baringo offers various cafe, restaurant and bar options in a welcoming and comfortably modern venue. Check the website for current information...or take a stroll 250 metres to the right down Station road! Watch the occasional train slide by or just enjoy the courtyard garden out the back. The Baringo complex was completed in 2014 and stands where originally the Whistle Stop Hotel circa 1857, once stood. The renovated pub section retains the underground cellar space, which can be viewed through a glass floor in the modern bar, now serving the public.

We are very lucky in the Macedon Ranges to have beautiful walks through nature for a range of abilities and fitness levels. Refer to guide book for tracks, a personal favourite is the Bawden Road / Douglas Road to Macedon Memorial Cross - however it is quite challenging.
