That's a really important place for Venetian People: every year in Novemeber we celebrate the "health" festival in this place. In the '600 the legend says, when the city was devasted from the plague, the citizen asked for a miracle, swearing to build a magnificent church if the plague wouldbe stopped. The next day here, where now there is the church, all saw a old woman cleaning the street: but nobody knew her. After that, the plague was stopped. So the cityof Venice built this magnificent chirch, to celebrate the recovered health.

City advice

What to pack

travel light!

If you are carrying heavy luggages, think about renting a "porter service" : a person with a cart will bring your luggage . You can ask us if you need this service, we will provide the right contact
Getting around

We walk a lot

The vaporettos goes everyday and night though the city, but remember: visiting Venice means walking and stepping bridges. So bring comfortable shoes with you
Customs and culture

few rules very important for local people:

-don't dive in to the water (remember it's not safe and it's not clean!!) -walk on the right side in the narrow streets -avoid to stop on the bridges to take pictures if this stops all the traffic behind you -don't sit on the steps in the city to eat your take away. Find in the guide where you can find peace oasis where you can restore and eat your food
