This is a more strenuous hike, but offers many rewarding waterfalls and swimming holes. It’s an out-and-back hike, with parking areas at both ends. We recommend parking at the boundary trail head in Syria, VA, (not skyline drive) and hiking a few miles up before turning back.

Authentic French pastries and wonderful breads. If you haven’t been before, you must go and get a slice of apple galette and a cappuccino. Their brunch is excellent as well, but we prefer to just order a large box of pastries from the walk up counter.
