Kenidjack is one of Penwiths secret locations. In its heyday it was the most successful mining venue because it had easy water access. Walk down the path to the sea or across from Cape Cornwall and you will notice old stone mining buildings and beautiful nature. Swimming is possible in the cove.

Botallack was one of the most influential mines and the scale of the mining here is something else, as can be seen from the engine houses that lay ruined across the coast. It is absolutely breathtaking and if you have children they will thoroughly enjoy and game of hind and seek in the tunnels. There is a cafe here and toilets it is looked after by the national trust.

Now that you are up on the famous coast road, carb galver is a real treat. Park here and walk up the carb to see breathtaking views both ways to st just and st Ives and the Scillies. Notice how quiet life is from the top of the carb and across the moors. Climb back down and see the engine house and walk down from here to a little stream and down to the cliff end to the sea.
