It's where the locals go. Or do they go to Thames Street? Depends on the Local I guess. Loaded with restaurants and pubs. Home of the annual Broadway Street Fair.

City advice

Getting around

Take a cab to avoid the exacting meter police.

I frequent Pasta Beach on Bellevue, Pour Judgement, Malt, Boru, Corner Cafe, Empire and Salvation Cafe on Broadway and Midtown Oyster Bar, Brick Alley Pub, Mama Luisa's and Benjamin's on Thames Street and The Coffee Grinder at the end of Bannister's Wharf off Thames. Most days I stop in to the A Market in the Bellevue Shopping Center and sometimes make my way out to the Green Grocer on East Main Road in Portsmouth: both are health food stores with great deli. If you let me know your food preferences I'll direct you to the right location. I didn't mention any of the pricier places in town.
