A 20 minute drive from our home, Slieve Liag & its surrounding area is stunning with its rugged cliffs rising over 600mtrs from the sea & is not to be missed. Take a boat trip with Paddy from Teelin Pier to see the cliffs from the sea or just simply walk or drive to the viewing point at Bunglas or the Pilgrim path. Don't forget to stop off at the Rusty Mackerel for a wee bite to eat or just a coffee!

A walk down to the pier & out to the tower in mainbeg is well worth while!

A 30min drive from Teach Jim through Carrick village to Glencolmkille take the road to the left to Malinmore/Malinbeg... A lovely drive & both Malinmore & Malinbeg have stunning views out to Rathlin O'Beirne & when you reach the Silver Strand beach(great for a swim) with over 160 steps down you won't want to leave... A walk down to the pier & out to the tower in mainbeg is well worth while!

Leaving Glencolmkille village take the Ardara road... Watch out for the sign to the left for Port. Its a beautiful remote round stone beach & pier with walks up the mountains to Glen head on one side & to Glenlough on the other!

Its vertical cliffs are suitable for climbing, fishing & has a lovely beach Trá Ban. Stop off for a cuppa & a treat in Memory Lane Teahouse!

Árainn Mhór is a beautiful Island off Donegal. Drive to Burtonport(1 hour) ...take one of the ferries(20mins booking essential) & spend the day walking, driving or just simply sitting on the beach on the island.
