Award-winning local bakery "Best of Houston" many times. With several-times-a-day fresh-baked french bread called "bolillos" you will see why the locals have been lining up for years! Huge variety of Mexican pastry, house-made tortillas, cakes, & coffee. Grab a tray and tongs and help yourself!

Open since 1979, Spanish Flower is a local favorite for breakfast tacos, peanut butter pancakes, and is open 24-hours. There are usually a couple of mariachi-style musicians who may come table to table during peak hours which makes it feel like a special occasion.

Canino's has been Houston's farmers market since 1958. Until this year, family-owned, over 18 acres, and open daily 6am-8pm. They are set to get a $10 million dollar makeover in the coming 18 months. Intended to transform a bustling web of vendors and wholesalers into a destination market and one stop shop. Part of the plan to keep the classic charm includes keeping all of the current vendors and adding James Beard award winners and other new features as well. The market will stay open during renovations.
