"Oli’s Thai lives up to the hype, and then some." The Guardian. It really is good authentic Thai food. Sometimes if you are lucky you can get a last minute seat at the bar for up to 2 people, try at 5:30 to get a seat. Otherwise you have to book 3 months in advance!

This pub along the tow path has some hearty stews, doorstep bread toast with beans and cheese, tasty home made cakes and scones, all at reasonable prices. They have some music events, and odd opening hours so do check before you go. Lots of nice ales and ciders and a huge outdoor garden with plenty of picnic tables overlooking the river. You can only walk to this pub, through Iffley Village or from Donnington Bridge.
