Kanab
Sightseeing
It’s a beautiful slot canyon. It’s like 1 mile round-trip to walk through it. Great for kids. But you do need a 4 x 4 or an ATV to get in to it because of the deep sand. Take some air out of the tires so you don’t get stuck. This is one of our favorite places and it’s super close to our place.
The pictures that came up on this guidebook for Peekaboo look to me like they are from all kinds of different places. Not peekaboo canyon. Just FYI.

We really enjoy this area. We have flyers at the house with multiple places to visit. To get her to drive past red Canyon which is another amazing place. It’s between us and Bryce Canyon. While you’re here go hike chimney rock. The trail takes off out of the campground that’s here by the Lake. There are also a lot of dirt roads to use a 4 x 4. We like the 3 mile dirt trail that cuts from traffic week over to Rubys Inn by Bryce Canyon. Super fun. Try their berry pie. Is to die for good!

This beautiful hike is just around the corner from our house. You can walk to the trail head or drive. It starts out pretty easy and then it gets quite strenuous as you start climbing rocks. But it’s so beautiful at the top. And you can keep going if you’d like. This is my favorite hike in Kanab.
Another hike we LOVE is Squaw Trail. It takes off just outside of the city park. At the end there’s a beautiful view of the Escalante.

Bunting Trail - Trailhead
1145-1235 W Stansfield DrThis beautiful hike is just around the corner from our house. You can walk to the trail head or drive. It starts out pretty easy and then it gets quite strenuous as you start climbing rocks. But it’s so beautiful at the top. And you can keep going if you’d like. This is my favorite hike in Kanab.
Another hike we LOVE is Squaw Trail. It takes off just outside of the city park. At the end there’s a beautiful view of the Escalante.

Best Mexican food ever! Very affordable as well. We really like the vegetarian burritos. Everything on the menu is super good. This place is packed all the time. If you want a second bowl of chips they do charge...LOL! They are closed Tuesdays and Saturday. But one nice thing is these guys are open year-round!
