Gasworks was once as it sounds - a gas refinery on the banks of Lake Union. It was converted into a park in the 70s and the old gas tanks turned into art pieces. Now, people gather on nice days to enjoy the view over the water of downtown and watch the sea planes take off.

The fish ladder lets Salmon swim between the two — during late summer and early fall you can watch hundreds of Salmon gather to make the leap. Sometimes you can also spot orcas and seals playing in the current of the locks. There's also a lovely botanical garden in the park!
